I GUESS IT'S A BRYAN J REQUEST SATURDAY. I LOVED THIS COLLAB HE DID WITH TRAVIS PORTER, IT STILL SOUNDS LIKE YESTERDAY.
"LET ME TAKE YOU OUT" was one of the best of the Soul-Pop songs that year. I think it's the deceitful innocent-sounding BRYAN, calling the girl a "cutie" and claiming it's "not all about her booty", while TRAVIS PORTER jump in with QUEZ seeing nothing but opportunity to climax.
BRYAN's had his eyes on one girl, but QUEZ is asking "which one? oh that girl? oh that girl? oh .. that girl?" He doesn't see the girls. Any or all, but mostly all, will make Q a happy man.
ALI is next, pouring on the sensuality but not as horny as QUEZ (sorry, Q). He treats the scene as a shopping spree while QUEZ is busy doin it buffet-style: spit it out, and try another. And another. QUEZ has the kind of flow that makes you hide your daughters.
ALI convinces you to let one of your daughters go (after he's spent an hour choosing which one). You regret it the minute he swaggers out the door, his hand moving lower and lower down her back. The song really works well because QUEZ and STRAP are the bookends to ALI's mild deception.
QUEZ is ready for a "that girl, that girl" all-you-can-eat, if you will. QUEZ doesn't require romance. STRAP though is taking ALL the girls home. Over a shiny, pop groove, TRAVIS PORTER plan on passing and sharing.
Ultimately then, BRYAN J was there to lure one girl while TRAVIS had his back, collecting what they could ( in case BRYAN chooses the wrong girl ). It's playful misogyny at its best.
